　　自去年央视“百家讲坛”开讲《论语》以来，全国上下掀起一阵阵轰轰烈烈的“孔子热”、“《论语》风”。不但开讲者的著作销售火爆，就连与孔子相关的其他读物也受到热烈欢迎­。忙碌的中国人仿佛一下子醒悟：原­来在当今社会，重温几千年的文化经典，竟然还会有如此丰厚的收获。

　　其实，可能大家不知道，在我国被尊称为“圣人”的孔子在东南亚甚至是全世界一直有着广泛的影响力。不光在我们的邻国日本、韩国和新加坡，就连非洲、美洲、欧洲等地也纷纷设立孔子学院，向当地人民传授中国文化和国学经­典。读孔子，学《论语》，已渐渐成为一种世界性的文化潮流。

　　作为中国人，一方面我们应该为中华文化得到弘扬而自豪，而另一方面，我们也不得不挑起一份责任：如何将这些文化精华更好地传递给世界人民?

　　当我们捧着中学课本，诵读着《论语》之时，有否想过我们也能用其他语言向外国人娓娓道来呢?

　　The Master said, “Is it not pleasant to learn with a constant 1)perseverance and application? Is it not delightful to have friends coming from distant 2)quarters? Is he not a man of complete virtue, who feels no 3)discomposure though men may take no note of him?”

　　子曰：学而时习之，不亦说乎?有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎?人不知而不愠，不亦君子乎?

　　The Master said, “At fifteen, I had my mind bent on learning. At thirty, I stood firm. At forty, I had no doubts. At fifty, I knew the 4)decrees of Heaven. At sixty, my ear was an 5)obedient organ for the reception of truth. At seventy, I could follow what my heart desired, without 6)transgressing what was right.”

　　子曰：吾十有五而志于学，三十而立，四十而不惑，五十而知天命，六十而耳顺，七十而从心所欲不逾矩。

　　The Master said, “Learning without thought is labour lost; thought without learning is 7)perilous.”

　　子曰：学而不思则罔，思而不学则殆。

　　The Master said, “They who know the truth are not equal to those who love it, and they who love it are not equal to those who delight in it.”

　　子曰：知之者不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者。

　　The Master said, “When I walk along with two others, they may serve me as my teachers. I will select their good qualities and follow them, their bad qualities and avoid them.”

　　子曰：三人行，必有我师焉，择其善者而从之，其不善者而改之。

　　The Master said, “The 8)superior man is satisfied and composed; the mean man is always full of 9)distress.”

　　子曰：君子坦荡荡，小人长戚戚。

　　The Master said, “Learn as if you could not reach your object, and were always fearing also lest you should lose it.”

　　子曰：学如不及，犹恐失之。

　　The Master standing by a stream, said, “It passes on just like this, not ceasing day or night!”

　　子在川上曰：逝者如斯夫，不舍昼夜。

　　The Master said, “A youth is to be regarded with respect. How do we know that his future will not be equal to our present? If he reach the age of forty or fifty, and has not made himself heard of, then indeed he will not be worth being regarded with respect.”

　　子曰：后生可畏。焉知来者之不如今也?四十、五十而无闻焉，斯亦不足畏也已。

　　The Master said, “The 10)commander of the forces of a large state may be carried off, but the will of even a common man cannot be taken from him.”

　　子曰：三军可夺帅也，匹夫不可夺志也。

　　The Master said, “The superior man seeks to perfect the admirable qualities of men, and does not seek to perfect their bad qualit
